The cauliflower challenge is on

Alrighty, Diane, you asked for it. Just like the grits of last week, cauliflower is sure to take this week's  blogosphere by storm.

Here's my entry: The most delicious, decadent cauliflower and caramelized onion tart you can imagine. Two cheeses, eggs, cream, truffle powder (yes, I just happened to have some on hand, thanks to my sister and her creative gift giving), caramelized onions and roasted cauliflower.

It's on.

truffle powder? truffle salt? truffle oil? {insert weary sigh}

what substitutes exist for truffle powder? Can I just give some freezer burned mushrooms a whirrrrr in the food processor and call it even?

I shall give it a try next week, albeit it the untruffled version.

I will not throw ours from this week in the hat because although we find stilton tasty, I fear the hate mail from likely the vast majority of the blog kids.

What's next? What's next? Bok choy anyone? We ate it this week, but normally I make the chickens take care of it.

This sounds absolutely divine! Thanks!

Lately I've been loving roasted cauliflower with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, cayenne, garam masala, asafoetida, and maybe a little garlic and onion powder. So delicious!

I blame you for the cauliflower shortage we had at our local grocery store last weekend. You have started a sensation.
